Spicy Chicken Pot

Have you tried Spicy Chicken Pot? It’s considered a fairly new dish (few years) with the ever-growing Szechuan style hot pot and this is one of them. In my opinion, this dish is a combination of the Mala and oyster sauce flavour which quickly became one of my favourites. Here is a simplified version of the Spicy Chicken Hot Pot that you too can try making!

Japanese Croquette

Croquette is a Japanese potato snack that is usually sold in udon restaurant or in streets in Japan. It’s a delicious snack coated in bread crumbs and deep-fried into perfect that is loved by everyone!
This snack may look intimidating, but I’ve made an easy recipe on how to make Japanese Croquette. You can make them beforehand and store it in the freezer, enjoy whenever you want!

Mala Grilled Fish

Mala Grilled Fish – origins Chong Qing, China. Famously made with the spicy and numbing Szechuan peppercorn. Mala has been around for some time now and I got introduced to this dish by my husband who is addicted to it! During this #stayathome period we couldn’t enjoy it in a restaurant, so to fulfil his cravings I’ve made my own homemade Mala Grilled Fish or some may call it Chong Qing Grilled Fish.

It’s spicy, numbing and fragrant, you’ll be hooked!

Homemade Fish & Chips that you can prepare within 30 minutes! I’ve simplified the ingredients and fairly easy to get in your local supermarket. Try, experiment and change it to suit your taste! If you like it with a little heat, put in some chili powder.

Spending time at home for such a long may be quite strenuous to your mental well being but do stay positive and try on new activities! Learn a new language on YouTube, try painting or a new recipe!

Here I am sharing with you a new recipe that you can do with your family or your housemates! Do it and go through it together!

‘Bergedil’ is a snack that is popular in Malaysia, Indonesia and some ASEAN countries. It is made of potatoes, minced meat and fried shallots, it’s loved by everyone and I’m sure you’ll love them too. Try it!

Weekend is here! Just got back from a holiday down under, settled down and I’am back for more cooking!  It was a good vacation driving along the Great Ocean Road, while enjoying the magnificent coastal scenery with the whole family, we shift to different airbnb houses each day, from a pleasant one to the not so pleasant stay. We definitely got it all covered. I would probably blog about my vacation there soon if anyone will be interested to read about it. Homemade Pan Mee

Craving for some homemade Pan Mee! When the family wants Pan Mee, just mention about it and MamaCook will make it. Since now I am living away from home I got to find my own way in satisfying my craving. Making this Pan Mee turns out pretty simple and easy. To my surprise it doesn’t require much of a skill. I did rang MamaCook to make sure I am on the right track and portion wise she just told me to eye ball it and I did. The measurement for the recipe below may or may not be accurate. My advice is to just let the inner Cook of you shine and do the job.
