Weekend is here! Just got back from a holiday down under, settled down and I’am back for more cooking!  It was a good vacation driving along the Great Ocean Road, while enjoying the magnificent coastal scenery with the whole family, we shift to different airbnb houses each day, from a pleasant one to the not so pleasant stay. We definitely got it all covered. I would probably blog about my vacation there soon if anyone will be interested to read about it. Craving for some homemade Pan Mee! When the family wants Pan Mee, just mention about it and MamaCook will make it. Since now I am living away from home I got to find my own way in satisfying my craving. Making this Pan Mee turns out pretty simple and easy. To my surprise it doesn’t require much of a skill. I did rang MamaCook to make sure I am on the right track and portion wise she just told me to eye ball it and I did. The measurement for the recipe below may or may not be accurate. My advice is to just let the inner Cook of you shine and do the job.

Do you know what is my worst vice? Gluttony. I am feeling really chubby this week. Food is like a drug to me, I just kept wanting more and more. I eat when I’m happy and sad. Food gives me comfort, but I do sometimes regret after the late night full meal supper or a whole bar of chocolates and a tub of ice cream. It’s very fascinating or confusing which ever you prefer that human being eat based on their mood. With all the junk food and late night supper, suddenly my appetite crave for vegetables or healthy dish. Therefore, I introduce you the Stir Fry Soba Noodles.

Pumpkin soup for the weekend! Wanted to have something comforting while relaxing at home, hence resort to some pumpkin soup. I wanted to go for something different, in taste, so I created my own version or more like try out something new. I added Turmeric powder in it, which turns out isn’t bad but quite flavourful Don’t know if everyone will like it, but I did served it to my family and they finished every single drop of it.

I wanted to explore something new by not doing it the typical or traditional way where we usually will add in cream into the soup. I wanted something less fattening hence omitted the cream.  (more…)

Hello there! My name is Madeline. Many of my close friends know me as Maddie. I was born and raised in Malaysia and I recently moved to Singapore in search of new adventures. I may not be a full-fledge chef, but I do love to indulge in cooking and eating.

My love for cooking developed during my primary school days where I was tasked to cook fragrant white rice for my family daily.
